Deep in the forests, in the bowels of an old oak tree, is the residence of a fae who loves to 'collect' shiny things. After a day of gathering he returns to his home to admire his acquired treasures, and stoops to admire his favorite treasure of all. A little green jewel beetle, who he is happy to also call his friend.

This piece made my fingers lock up and my knuckles swell., with all the details. They are still swollen. >.< But I love it, and am really happy with how it turned out. I may go over it again, and do some more line cleaning, but I'm not adding anything more. My hand wouldn't be happy with me.

Mechanical Pencil, Tuff Stuff Eraser, Masters Edition Sketch Book, and lots of time and patience.

Wow, this turned out beautifully!! I don't blame your hand for dying, though. @_@

I loooooooove all the details you put into here, yet somehow it doesn't look... cramped. Busy, but not cramped. If that makes any sense at all.

And I know what you mean, there's enough there to make it seem like a lot, but not enough to cramp him in his space. He's got room to stretch those lovely wings.
