Zabel is a true half demon, his father a forsaken. Because of this he deals with these dark, often disturbing, desires constantly. He often wears a scowl, or a frown, which are disturbing to most people who look at him. However, when he is glaring at you, when he looks like this, it can be downright frightening. Like an aura of hate, malice, or disgust.

This is one of those moments where the demonic part of him is showing, the side of him that he, unfortunately cannot hide no matter how hard he tries. It shows in his eyes, the way he looks at you. Tindle has seen this look, many times, and she is afraid of it, afraid of what he could do when he looks at her that way, and one of the many reasons why she is unsure she can love him the way he wants and loves her.

Zabel is such a fantastic character, with so much potential.
